Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-10-30
Sundial is a macOS app that runs your own shell commands on a schedule. This Privacy Policy explains how Sundial handles information.
Information collection
Sundial does not require an account or sign-in and does not collect personal information.
The app stores your jobs, the output and result of each run, and its preferences on your Mac, in ~/Library/Application Support/Sundial, ~/Library/LaunchAgents, and the app’s preferences. This information is not sent to the developer or any third party.
The commands you schedule run as you, on your Mac. Sundial does not send their output anywhere; what a command itself does is up to you.
Analytics and advertising
Sundial does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services.
Data sharing
Sundial does not sell, rent, or share personal information.
Data retention and deletion
Run output and results are deleted after 30 days. Your jobs and preferences remain on your Mac until you delete them or uninstall the app with brew uninstall --zap sundial.
Children’s privacy
Sundial is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated policy will be posted with a revised effective date.
